COLMI i30 AMOLED Blood Pressure Smartwatch

The COLMI i30 Blood Pressure Smartwatch is an interesting wearable device with a 1.3" AMOLED touch display and many of the standard health features you'd expect. But as its name suggests, this smartwatch outperforms Apple, Google/Fitbit and others in terms of comprehensive blood pressure measurement. Here's my full review.

The i30 blood pressure smartwatch is one of the most unique smartwatches I've come across in a while. It has heart rate and exercise tracking, sleep and even heart rate monitoring, and of course its main feature is a built in function that monitors blood pressure.

As far as design goes, you can see that it's a slightly bulky watch, and while I don't think it looks bad, it actually looks super modern. It might even look a little bulky if your wrist is thinner than mine. I wouldn't say it's an ugly watch, but if style is a priority for wearables, you probably won't be impressed.

But, honestly, if you're interested in a blood pressure monitor like this, you're probably more interested in the features and convenience than its looks. In terms of comfort, this is neither good nor bad. They are relatively heavy, but not too different from some of the heavier GPS watches from Garmin or Coros. I think the i30 would look a lot better than using some of the better watch face options.

The case is made of zinc alloy, you can choose other colors or other straps, and the display itself is actually pretty good, it's a 1.3" 360x360 resolution glass AMOLED touchscreen, so it's definitely not bad. It's nice to use. When you go to the menu to open one of the apps, it's very responsive.

Once you activate the blood pressure function, I found that in order to get the most accurate results, it's best to hold the watch with at least three fingers above your wrist, clasped fairly tightly, and of course, keep your wrist nice and relaxed, at slightly below your heart level.

Of course, the blood pressure will not be 100% accurate, but it should be close to the accuracy of a medical sphygmomanometer. Personally, I think it's probably within a 5-10% margin of error, and if you take your blood pressure regularly to begin with, you can understand how easy it is to get it wrong. For me, it's always been a little high, but not very noticeable, and now that I know that, I'll get used to it.

There's not much to say about this smartwatch. If you need to monitor your blood pressure daily or multiple times to keep track of how you're doing and you want the convenience of being able to do so without an electronic blood pressure monitor, then the i30 Blood Pressure Smartwatch is definitely worth your attention.
